Commercial Solution Sales Executive, Cybersecurity
Your Impact
As a Commercial Solution Sales Executive, you will be the primary owner of the client relationship and revenue performance for your solution portfolio across assigned commercial accounts. You will drive end-to-end sales execution, from opportunity creation and pipeline development through deal closure, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a strategic growth partner within OpenText.
You will develop and execute territory and account plans that align solution growth priorities with client business objectives. Through proactive prospecting, relationship building, and value-based conversations, you will identify new logo opportunities, expansion opportunities, and whitespace within existing accounts while building a strong and sustainable pipeline.
You will lead solution-specific sales cycles from discovery through close, guiding deal strategy, stakeholder alignment, competitive positioning, and executive engagement. By partnering with Solution Consultants, Architects, Value Engineers, and other subject matter experts, you will demonstrate the business value of OpenText solutions and help clients achieve measurable outcomes.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration across the OpenText ecosystem. You will work closely with partners, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to maximize deal success, maintain forecasting rigor, and ensure alignment with broader go-to-market priorities while delivering exceptional experiences for clients.

What You Need to Succeed

• Proven success in enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, or information management sales.

• 3+ years of experience managing full sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.

• Strong prospecting, pipeline generation, and business development capabilities.

• Ability to build credibility with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technical decision-makers.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Experience working within a collaborative, matrixed sales organization.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, total compensation will include variable commission, may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
