Job Summary

Mirantis is seeking a Product Manager to take full ownership of the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution for Mirantis OpenStack on Kubernetes (MOSK) – our enterprise-grade, open-source-based private cloud and infrastructure platform designed for platform engineering teams.

MOSK enables organizations to consolidate and standardize infrastructure, reduce operational sprawl, and deliver secure, scalable platform services across hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments – backed by advanced orchestration, observability, and security capabilities.

This role requires a unique blend of deep private cloud infrastructure expertise and GTM leadership. You’ll be equally comfortable defining product strategy in close partnership with engineering, building differentiated positioning and messaging with marketing, and enabling sales teams to win complex, competitive enterprise deals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical fluency in OpenStack, Kubernetes, platform engineering, and enterprise IT infrastructure, along with a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept through measurable market impact.

This is a high-impact, externally-facing role designed for someone who excels at bringing technical products to market, influencing buyers, enabling field teams, and translating product capabilities into customer outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Own and drive MOSK GTM plans, including packaging, pricing, positioning, and competitive differentiation in collaboration with marketing and sales.
  • Develop field enablement content, including value propositions, pitch decks, product briefs, customer-facing roadmaps, and battlecards.
  • Partner with sales to support strategic deals, acting as a product expert in key customer engagements, executive briefings, and technical validations.

Market Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Act as a face of the product externally—participating in webinars, events, analyst briefings, and customer advisory boards.
  • Define the ideal customer profile (ICP), identify high-value use cases, and build playbooks for sales motions (direct, channel).
  • Collect feedback from early adopters and key accounts to shape product positioning and roadmap priorities.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap
  • Analyze customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive activity to guide strategic investment areas.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure alignment between technical feasibility and market demand.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in Product Management, specifically within Cloud Infrastructure and/or Enterprise Software
  • Strong understanding of OpenStack, Kubernetes, containers, and virtualization
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the Cloud industry, private (OpenStack) and public cloud environments, virtualization, and cloud management. Enterprise virtualization (VMware, KVM), Container orchestration & Kubernetes distributions, VMware Tanzu, other enterprise-grade Kubernetes engines
  • A proven GTM collaborator who’s worked cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer success, and technical presales.
  • Experience developing product messaging, content, and positioning that resonates with engineering leaders and decision-makers.
  • Confident in front of customers and analysts – can represent Mirantis externally as a subject-matter expert.
  • Comfortable managing product backlogs and roadmaps, but energized by market-facing responsibilities.

Nice to Have

  • Proficient in security, firewall, and storage concepts
  • Familiarity with Cloud-Native & Application Frameworks: Docker, Cloud Foundry, Spring, Rails, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, WebSphere, Kubeflow
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements for regulated environments, including frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC, and related certification and audit standards.

Additional Information

What does Mirantis offer you?

  • Help define the next generation of open virtualization—cloud-native, open-source, and enterprise-ready.
  • Lead the charge in helping companies move off expensive, legacy virtualization stacks.
  • Work in a collaborative, globally distributed team that values innovation and autonomy.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for leadership and growth in a high-impact product role.
