Job description

Software Engineer - Openlink
We are building out the OpenLink development team and looking for a candidate to join the firm's middle-office development team. The successful candidate will work with OpenLink Endur, a third-party application, and the in-house processes that have been built around it. Responsibilities will include building and expanding data access to and from Endur, develop tasks, scripts and workflow to extend the functionality of existing applications. Additional responsibilities will include Openlink Endur release management, configuration, testing and production troubleshooting.
Responsibilities

  • Design and development of applications following Agile and continuous delivery practices
  • Extend Endur functionality to support middle and back office processes
  • Create or enhance new and existing OpenLink Scripts/Tasks or Workflows to meet specific business requirements
  • Create or enhance new and existing OpenLink Scripts/Tasks or Workflows for publishing or receiving data from in house applications
  • Help with the on boarding of new products for Portfolio managers
  • Provide level three support for Openlink and processes developed by the group
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance/throughput analysis
  • Consume and publish transaction data in AVRO over Kafka
  • Automation of system maintenance tasks, end-of-day processing jobs, data integrity checks and bulk data loads/extracts
  • Release planning and deployment
  • Build strong relationships with support and end-users/clients
  • Focus on client service and delivery
Required skill/experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience of working in global financial organisation is essential
  • Advanced proficiency in with OpenLink Endur/Findur is essential
  • Experience with GIT and JIRA is essential
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL is essential
  • Advanced proficiency in C# and the ability to write supportable, readable C# code is essential
  • Background in another language/scripting such as Java/Angular/PowerShell is desirable
  • Ability to support Windows environments
  • Minimum 5+ years support in OpenLink Endur/Findur implementation including:
    • Connex Gateways and Schedulers
    • JBroker and Connex
    • APM/RTPE services (preferably APM)
    • OpenLink's Grid
    • Open Components code based deployments
    • Oracle (sql experience is a must)
    • ADS
  • Candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following competencies
    • Troubleshooting within an Endur environment for failed simulations
    • Experience in configuring and running end of day tasks
    • Experience in adding new templates, tickers, curve and grid point definitions, new portfolios etc.
    • Experience in diagnosing and resolving Oracle issues such as query plan flips
    • Preference given to those with monitoring setup and configuration using ITRS Geneos or Data Dog
    • Must have previous experience supporting business facing applications
