In the role of Bridge EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to: 
 
  • Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete,), box culvert, sign structures, retaining walls and interchange design for highway projects
  • Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, and develop structural details using specialized software
  • Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  • Develop structural details using basic structural design and analysis software.
  • Participate in bridge inspection, perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  • Perform other duties as needed  
Preferred Qualifications 
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience in bridge/structural design including deep foundation design and prestressed concrete design
  • Knowledge of Projectwise, BGS, BridgelinkFamiliarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, bridge standards, preferred practices and software. 
  • Experience using Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, Projectwise, MathCAD, Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: BGS, SPColumn, BridgeLink
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge. 
  • Bentley OpenBridge Modeler  and/or Autodesk  Infraworks and Civil3d
  • Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design
  • Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
