Cybersecurity Product Engineer to work with a diverse, highly skilled team developing unique solutions for Cyber, EW, and PNT threats against weapon systems and technologies on the tactical edge. Our products are responsible for alerting a wide array of customers to potential attacks by creative highly skilled Adversaries (locally represented often by our own creative highly skilled Red Teamers that you will be working alongside of).

This is a full-time position with the Leidos Cyber Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) team that is based in Lawton, OK and will require the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creating procedures and techniques for ongoing usage of a cyber operations platform within a customer designated environment.

  • Evaluating, selecting, and integration of open-source cyber tools to incorporate in a cyber operations platform.

  • Developing new algorithms used in IDS/IPS systems to detect malicious behavior.

  • Developing graphical cyber dashboards and tools to enhance understanding of cyber activities being monitored by a cyber operations platform.

  • Developing custom installers to provide tactical edge systems with minimal potential of failure

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional development in various programming languages with the ability to show ability either through GitHub, print outs, or even provided media)

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

  • Ability to write software and scripts in languages such as Python, BASH, C++, HTML, or JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with dissection of network protocols using Wireshark and other tools.

  • Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as Vagrant, Docker, Podman, VirtualBox, and Kubernates.

  • Must be a US CITIZEN and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the ELK stack ( Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana ) for a cybersecurity solution

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Make, and Jira.

  • Understanding of Cyber Security concepts and agile software development.

  • Ability to work independently to deliver software in a timely manner.
