An OPC (Outside Plant Coordinator or Operator) job typically involves overseeing and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure, such as fiber optics, cables, and network hardware. This role includes coordinating installations, repairs, and upgrades to ensure reliable service. OPC professionals often work with technicians, contractors, and engineers to troubleshoot issues and optimize network performance. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this field.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an OPC?

As an OPC, your daily responsibilities often include scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance information, maintaining patient records, and coordinating communication between clinical staff and patients. You may also help patients navigate administrative processes, answer questions regarding services, and manage appointment reminders or follow-ups. In many settings, OPCs collaborate closely with medical assistants, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless outpatient care. This role requires a high level of organization and customer service as you are frequently the first point of contact for patients.
