Project/Program Manager - Project/Program Manager II
Location: Seattle, Washington (Onsite)
Role Overview
This position is for an operational delivery coordination role focused on managing the lifecycle of network connections, known as "spans," between data centers. The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) will own project coordination from intake to operational handoff. This role ensures projects move through milestones without stalling by coordinating between engineering, field technicians, and multiple supplier teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Validate incoming projects to confirm all required inputs from the planning team are present before acceptance.
  • Track the readiness of multiple supplier teams, including hardware, optical, and fiber, for each project.
  • Escalate and drive resolution for delays or blockers with supplier teams.
  • Monitor the progress of automated workflows and coordinate the handoff of projects to the datacenter field team for physical work.
  • Manage a queue of 20-40 concurrent projects in various stages of physical build, tracking key milestones.
  • Triage escalations from field technicians, resolving coordination issues and routing technical problems to engineers.
  • Provide status reporting on project portfolio health, identifying on-track and blocked projects.
  • Identify systemic issues and process bottlenecks, escalating them to management for resolution.
  • Maintain and improve coordination procedures, handoff checklists, and escalation paths.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in cross-functional project coordination, bridging multiple teams such as engineers, field technicians, and hardware or fiber suppliers.
  • Need someone with a fiber background or data center background.
  • Familiarity with datacenter operations, including cabling, rack positions, fiber patching, and optical hardware.
  • Understanding of the network deployment lifecycle, from project acceptance through physical build to operational turn-up.
  • Experience with supplier or vendor coordination in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency in workflow and ticket management to track a high volume of concurrent projects.
  • Ability to perform incident triage to identify the root cause of project stalls or failures and route to the correct owner.
  • Basic knowledge of fiber and optical infrastructure.
