Now Hiring: Experienced Professional Caregiver
Shelbyville, TN | Serving ZIP Codes 37160, 37161, and 37162
Sundays Only for Now | 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM | Flexible Hours Available

Helping Hearts USA LLC is excited to continue growing our dynamic team of passionate, experienced, and professional caregivers. We are currently seeking an extremely patient, nurturing, dependable, and compassionate caregiver for a client in the Shelbyville, Tennessee area.

This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who is dedicated to delivering exceptional one-on-one care and who takes pride in making a true difference in the life of a client and family.

At this time, this position is for Sundays only, with shifts available from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Hours may be flexible depending on client needs and caregiver availability.

This client has a dog in the home, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable around pets and willing to assist with light pet-related care and supervision as part of maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive home environment.

We are looking for a caregiver who is non-smoking, non-vaping, has a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean background, and more than 3 years of professional caregiving experience, along with verifiable professional references.

What You’ll Do

Personal Care: Assist with Daily Living While Preserving Dignity and Independence
Provide support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting assistance as needed, mobility support, transfers, and positioning. Care must always be delivered with patience, professionalism, dignity, and respect for the client’s independence.

Companionship: Build Meaningful Connection and Enhance Quality of Life
Offer emotional support, meaningful companionship, and a warm, reassuring presence. Engage the client in conversation and activities that reduce isolation, encourage comfort, and support overall well-being.

Housekeeping: Help Maintain a Safe and Organized Living Environment
Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying, laundry, light cleaning, dusting, organizing, and helping maintain a clean, comfortable, and hazard-free home.

Meal Preparation: Support Nutrition and Daily Comfort
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on the client’s preferences and needs. Assist with meal planning, safe food handling, kitchen tidiness, and encouragement of proper hydration and nutrition.

Health Monitoring: Observe and Report Changes in Well-Being
Monitor the client’s physical and emotional well-being and report any changes in condition, mood, appetite, mobility, or behavior. Provide medication reminders if needed and assist with blood sugar awareness or monitoring support if applicable to the case.

Transportation: Provide Safe and Reliable Transportation
Transport the client to appointments, errands, and outings as needed. Assist with vehicle entry and exit when necessary and ensure safety, comfort, and professionalism during transport.

Pet Care Support: Maintain a Calm and Safe Home for Client and Pet
Because there is a dog in the home, the caregiver should be comfortable assisting with light pet-related responsibilities as needed. This may include letting the dog out, ensuring fresh water is available, simple feeding assistance if instructed, and maintaining awareness of the pet’s needs and presence throughout the shift.
