Job description

Part-Time Faculty - College Prep Reading/Writing (SJC Online)
Teaching College Preparatory Reading/Writing related coursework.
Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available for San Jac Online. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective courses. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using online delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College. All San Jac Online faculty should reside in the state of Texas.
Required Education:
  • Master's in English or Master's + 18 graduate hours in English

Preferred Experience:
  • Prior teaching experience required in the community college setting.
  • Experience teaching developmental reading and writing and working with at-risk student populations preferred.
  • Teaching in a completely online format.

Salary Grade: AH
Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
