PRODUCTION DESIGNER - MASON, OH
AlphaGraphics is looking for a hard-working PRODUCTION DESIGNER to join our growing printing & sign company in MASON, OHIO. This role involves mainly technical design, prepress activities, and production. We do have traditional graphic design & creative projects from time-to-time. However, most of the work consists of file preparation, managing our online ordering portal, and assisting in print production as needed.
Design Responsibilities
  • Review client files to ensure production quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare existing artwork for production. E.g., typesetting, adding bleeds, pagination, etc.
  • Utilize provided tools such as Pitstop, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other software applications.
  • Interpret customer request and turn ideas into tangible products.
  • Create print media using color, type, illustration, photography and other various techniques.
  • Actively communicate with clients to understand and deliver design material to their satisfaction.
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform production & bindery tasks as required with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be knowledgeable of all products and services offered.
  • Communicate and work effectively with team.
Qualifications
  • Computer/technical proficiency is required.
  • Basic coding/HTML/CSS background a plus.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud/design background is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good eye for detail and ability to distinguish color.
  • Ability to problem solve and be solutions oriented.
  • Interest in the quick-printing industry and working at a small business (10 employees).
  • Live in/near Mason, Ohio.
