Description
Millikin University invites applications for a Graduate Writing Tutor beginning August 17, 2026. This position will work 5 to 12 hours per week (flat rate of 5 hours per week, with up to 7 additional hours based on workload). Position will be paid through Accounts Payable and not eligible for benefits. This position is responsible for:
• Synchronous online tutoring of graduate students, for up to 9 hours per week.
• Asynchronous editing of graduate writing submissions, for up to 3 hours per week.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree or higher.
• Strong background in graduate level scholarly writing.
• Teaching and tutoring experience.
• Experience in advising multimodal writing.
• Knowledge of different citation styles, especially APA.
• Ability to support graduate students in an online tutoring environment.
• Ability to lead writing workshops.
• Flexible meeting times.
