About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), youโ€™ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. Youโ€™ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
  • Supporting medical needs and appointments
  • Following individualized support and behavior plans
  • Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
  • Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
  • Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Connecticut Driverโ€™s License

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpfulโ€”but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.


Pay

  • $19.28 per hour
  • Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
