Job description

AEITS, Inc. a GTSC Company, seeking Server Systems Engineer Level 2.
Mission Description: Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations and architectures.
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
~~~~ All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Clearance: Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph.
Compensation: $117,000-126,800 annual salary
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Systems Administration experience
  • Systems Architecture experience

Education Requirements:
  • High School or GED with 19 years of experience OR Bachelors Degree with 14 years of experience

Position Description:
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
  • Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.
  • Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations and architectures.
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure computers meet the needs of network users.
  • May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
