location : South Sacramento

Pay: $20-$23

Shift: morning 5am - 2pm

Job Description

This role operates rainware roll forming and slitting equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality production while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workspace. The position involves setting up and running machines, performing basic preventive maintenance, and supporting overall production and warehouse activities on a swing shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rainware roll former and slitter equipment in the shop according to production requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Set up and operate all functions of assigned machines and equipment, including configuring settings based on work orders.
  • Adjust machine settings for different material thicknesses, clamp placements, and specific work order requirements.
  • Inspect parts using tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Read, interpret, and complete production orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform secondary operations on manufactured parts, such as cleaning or finishing, as required by production needs.
  • Arrange and organize parts as needed for production, ensuring an efficient flow of materials.
  • Place raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs in the appropriate storage or production areas.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to keep them in safe and reliable operating condition.
  • Conduct visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling, and correct positioning of safety guards before and during operation.
  • Assist other machine operators as needed to meet production goals and support team performance.
  • Support other departments with warehouse and production work when required.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures at all times while performing job duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area and tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery, including roll forming equipment, slitting machines, press brakes, or stamping presses.
  • Hands-on machine operation experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively during setup, adjustment, and maintenance tasks.
  • Experience with general labor and assembly work in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with roll forming processes and production workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret production orders and follow detailed instructions.
  • Competence in using measuring tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices to verify part dimensions and quality.
  • Capability to operate equipment safely and follow established safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and reach with hands and arms while performing machine operation tasks.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds.
  • Physical ability to walk, sit, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required by the job.

  • Previous experience in a clean manufacturing environment.
  • Background in production work involving press brake, stamping press, or similar equipment.
  • Comfort working in a loud, fast-paced production setting.
  • Willingness to assist in warehouse operations as needed.

Work Environment

Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols while maintaining an orderly work area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
