What is an online repetitive job?

Online Repetitive jobs are positions that involve performing the same or similar tasks repeatedly over the internet. These jobs often include data entry, product categorization, online surveys, content moderation, or microtasks. They are typically suitable for individuals looking for remote, flexible work that does not require specialized skills or advanced education. While they can be a good source of supplementary income, these roles may offer lower pay compared to more specialized online jobs. Consistency and attention to detail are important qualities for success in these positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an online repetitive worker?

To thrive as an Online Reputation Manager, you need expertise in digital marketing, public relations, and analytics, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications in reputation management or social media. Familiarity with tools like Google Alerts, SEMrush, Brandwatch, and CRM systems is essential. Excellent communication, crisis management, and problem-solving skills help you address negative feedback and maintain a positive brand image. These competencies are crucial to effectively monitor, shape, and protect a company’s online reputation in a fast-moving digital landscape.

What are some common challenges faced by online repetitive workers and how can they be addressed?

Online Repetitive roles often involve performing the same tasks for extended periods, which can lead to fatigue and decreased focus. To maintain productivity and well-being, it's important to schedule regular breaks, use ergonomic equipment, and periodically review workflows for efficiency improvements. Collaborating with team members to share tips and adopting task management tools can also help reduce monotony and increase job satisfaction.

Help craft, pack, and ship the Kilwins experience to customers across the country.
Location: Kilwins Downtown Petoskey | Howard Street, Petoskey, MI

Starting Pay: $18 per hour

Help Us Deliver the Kilwins Experience Nationwide
At Kilwins, creating enjoyment and making people happy goes beyond our store doors. Our Online Team Members help bring that experience to customers across the country-one carefully crafted, packed, and shipped order at a time.
This hands-on role combines confection production, online order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping. You'll help make select Kilwins products, prepare customer orders, and ensure every package reflects the quality and care our customers expect.
The position will begin at approximately 24 hours per week. Hours will increase as holiday order volume grows, with full-time hours expected and overtime potentially available in December.
What You'll Do
  • Follow Kilwins recipes and production standards to cook and craft products such as Caramel Apples, Mackinac Island Fudge, Caramel Corn, Brittles, and Chocolate-Dipped Treats.
  • Maintain product inventory needed for daily online orders.
  • Pull products accurately using daily order and pick lists.
  • Package items according to Kilwins standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and care.
  • Assemble, verify, label, and stage completed orders for carrier pickup by 3:00 p.m.
  • Communicate product, inventory, and packaging needs to the Online Operations Lead.
  • Work with teammates to keep orders accurate and moving on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
  • Jump in where needed to help meet daily shipping goals.
Who Thrives Here
You may be a great fit if you:
  • Are dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Enjoy hands-on work and take pride in getting things right.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Stay focused and positive when the pace picks up.
  • Have food production, packaging, shipping, or order fulfillment experience-or are ready to learn.
What to Expect
The Good Stuff
  • A consistent four-day schedule to start.
  • Paid, hands-on training.
  • Experience and training in confection production and online fulfillment.
  • A team guided by our values: Treat others as you want to be treated. Do your best. Have fun.
  • A 50% discount at Kilwins company-owned stores.
The Hurdles
  • Holiday volume moves quickly, and accuracy still matters.
  • December requires full-time availability, with overtime potentially available based on order volume.
  • You'll stand for extended periods, frequently use stairs, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • The work can be repetitive, physical, and deadline-driven.
Additional Information
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
  • Kilwins is a smoke-free, vape-free, and drug-free workplace.
  • Kilwins is proud to be a Recovery Friendly Workplace.
  • Kilwins Chocolates Franchise, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Bring your attention to detail, team spirit, and willingness to work hard-we'll provide the training and plenty of sweetness along the way.
