An Online Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides virtual applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. They work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, conduct skill-building activities, and track client progress. Online RBTs deliver therapy through video conferencing platforms, making services more accessible to clients who may not have in-person options. This role requires certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and strong communication skills to engage clients and caregivers effectively.

Online RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans under supervision, collecting and reporting data, and interacting with clients through virtual sessions. Common challenges include building rapport with clients remotely, managing distractions in a home environment, and ensuring accurate observation via video. Successful Online RBTs develop strong communication skills and adaptability to engage clients and support progress in a virtual context. You'll also frequently collaborate with BCBA supervisors and caregivers to adjust strategies and address client needs.
