What is an online part time remote job?

Online part time remote jobs are positions that allow individuals to work from any location, typically their home, for a set number of hours per week that is less than a full-time schedule. These jobs are often flexible and can include roles such as customer service representatives, virtual assistants, writers, data entry clerks, and more. They are ideal for people seeking work-life balance, students, parents, or those looking to supplement their income. The main advantage is the ability to work without commuting and often to set your own hours, depending on the employer’s requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an online part time remote worker?

To succeed as an Online Part-Time Remote Worker, you need strong time management, self-motivation, and basic digital literacy, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant work experience. Familiarity with productivity tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and communication platforms such as Zoom or Slack is typically required. Excellent written communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills help you collaborate effectively and stay productive without direct supervision. These qualities are crucial for meeting deadlines, maintaining accountability, and delivering quality results in a flexible, remote work environment.

What are some of the common challenges faced in an online part time remote role, and how can they be managed?

A common challenge in online part-time remote roles is maintaining effective communication and collaboration with your team, since you may be working across different time zones and schedules. To manage this, it's important to use collaborative tools like Slack, Zoom, or project management platforms, and to establish clear expectations with your manager regarding availability and deadlines. Additionally, creating a dedicated workspace and setting a regular routine can help you stay focused and productive while balancing other commitments. Staying proactive in seeking feedback and clarifying tasks also ensures you remain aligned with team goals.

Job description

Web Specialist (100% Remote, Part-Time)
Somewhere out there is a person who cannot walk past a broken contact form. Who opens a client's site to check one thing, notices a footer link is dead, and fixes it before finishing the original task. If that's an uncomfortably accurate description of you, this is your role.
About OneTeam
OneTeam Aviation Marketing is a marketing agency built entirely for aviation. Our clients are aircraft brokers and dealers, FBOs, management companies, industry associations, and advanced air mobility companies. We work as their embedded marketing department working alongside the founders and sales teams in private aviation. Because of our focus, we're fully remote and growing.
The straight talk first
Most of this job is WordPress project management to coordinate with web developers, designers, and copywriters to get websites built and maintained without the headaches.
This role is part-time, around 20 hours a week. You'll work inside Eastern business hours for client calls and client communication.
What you'd own
  • Manage new site builds from sitemap to launch (coordinating with web developers, designers, and copywriters)
  • Running a routine health check across every client site: forms submit, funnel paths checklists, landing pages audits, resolving links and redirects, making sure nothing 404s. You'd build the checklist and the cadence.
  • You oversee small site changes and fixes, so client teams aren't sitting in a queue waiting on a developer to ask a question they don't understand
  • You love documenting and coordinating. Anything from sitemaps, page briefs, and a packaging design specs so a developer can complete projects without a hundred questions
  • Launch QA, SEO QA, and handling redirects
  • Maintaining vendor relationships and estimates from project to project
  • Your Primary tools: Wordpress, Divi, Asana, Planable, Google Drive, Slack, Figma, Claude, Zoom, Airtable.

What this job is NOT
Not a developer. You know how to understand a request and package it for a developer or designer. You don't have to write the code.
Not a designer seat. You have an eye for design and quality assurance to keep things looking good.
Not a copywriting seat. You coordinate between wireframes and final QA.
Who does well here
Closing the last item on a list gives you a small win and real satisfaction that it's done right. That's the single best predictor of who succeeds in this seat.
You can look at a build and know something's off. Then you go find out why and know what to ask for next.
You communicate clearly and quickly. The build spec for a new site is the deliverable the entire project rests on and you hold the keys to a smooth build.
The good stuff
You'd help us define and build this role. It's new. The checklists, the cadence, and the vendor process are yours to build and refine.
Genuine flexibility. We care that the checklist runs and the build ships on time. How it works is flexible.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in web project management, preferably in an agency setting
  • Strong proficiency with WordPress and experience managing web builds (from sitemap to launch)
  • Experience managing QA processes, including SEO checks, link/redirect validation, and site health audits
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to create clear briefs, specs, and sitemaps for developers and designers
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and project estimates effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Slack)
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate between cross-functional teams (developers, designers, copywriters)
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to maintaining site health and resolving technical blockers

Benefits
  • Competitive salary with flexible work hours, part-time up to 20 hrs/week
  • Remote work (during Eastern Business Hours)
  • Professional development opportunities and training
  • No healthcare coverage available.
