Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Checks and inspects cartons to reflect accurate quantity and condition for further processing.
  • \t
  • Prepares cartons for processing by:\t
      \t\t
    • Locating, preparing, and affixing appropriate labels
    • \t\t
    • Packing, labeling, and scanning cartons as required
    • \t\t
    • Sorting and routing cartons
    • \t\t
    • Entering appropriate information in inventory systems as acquired
    • \t\t
    • Loading, unloading, picking as required
    • \t
    \t
  • \t
  • Performs processing activities as assigned.
  • \t
  • Moves cartons from one location to another, either manually or mechanically
  • \t
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Requires the ability to understand and follow general oral and/or written instructions. May involveuse of elementary arithmetic.

  • Familiarity with carton processing equipment (i.e., handheld scanners)

  • Requires the ability to work quickly and accurately.

  • Ability to learn computer processing systems.

  • Ability to determine which prescribed steps to take to resolve identified discrepancies.
