What is online math teaching?

Online math teaching involves instructing students in mathematics through digital platforms, rather than in a traditional classroom setting. Teachers use video conferencing, interactive whiteboards, and digital resources to deliver lessons, assign homework, and assess student progress. Online math teachers may work for schools, tutoring companies, or as independent instructors.

To thrive as an Online Math Teacher, you need a strong grasp of mathematics, effective instructional techniques, and typically a teaching credential or relevant degree. Familiarity with virtual classroom platforms (like Zoom or Google Classroom), learning management systems, and digital assessment tools is essential. Strong communication, patience, and the ability to engage and motivate students remotely set top performers apart.
