This is a 1.0 FTE position as a Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Jefferson High School. Applicants must be licensed from the State of Indiana in Math covering grades 9-12. Consideration will be given to applicants who are enrolled in a state-approved Transition to Teaching program or who are eligible for an Emergency Permit in Math assuming the prerequisite skills are possessed. Those already on a certified contract with the Lafayette School Corporation should complete an INTERNAL application by Friday, March 13, 2026. Candidates that are not currently on a certified contract with the Lafayette School Corporation should complete an external application through Applitrack.

Position SummaryJefferson High School is seeking a motivated and student-centered
Math Teacher to provide engaging instruction that develops students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned lessons, foster a supportive learning environment, and use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. The Math teacher will collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and help prepare students for success in college, careers, and real-world problem solving.
QualificationsRequired- Valid Indiana teaching license in Math Education
Preferred Consideration- Applicants enrolled in a state-approved Transition to Teaching program in Math
- Candidates eligible for an Indiana Emergency Permit in Math if prerequisite competencies are demonstrated.
