Job description

Assistant Professor- Teaching- Mathematics
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor- Teaching- Mathematics at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):
Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses at the undergraduate level as determined in consultation with the Department Chair.
Assist program faculty and staff with student recruitment and retention initiatives, program assessment and other duties required to meet organizational needs in undergraduate education.
Participate in student advising and curriculum development.
Serve on department, college, and university committees; participate in departmental activities consistent with and appropriate for good faculty citizenship.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Terminal degree required in Mathematics or closely related field. Candidates that have not received a PhD by the start of the appointment will be hired at the level of Instructor - Teaching.
