Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security in the Department of Information Systems and Security with a preferred start date of August 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
  • Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as data analytics, database management, software development, data mining, and related topics.
  • Service to the Department, College, and University.
  • Research and scholarship in the area of expertise.
  • The standard teaching load is 3/3. Coles College flexibly allows summer support for new faculty for up to 3 years.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • A doctorate in Business Administration, Information Systems, Management Science, or the foreign equivalent, or a related discipline, is required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctorate degree earned from an AACSB accredited college/school.
  • Record of prior teaching experience (in-person, online, or hybrid courses).
  • Documentation of or demonstrable interest in teaching healthcare IS or related courses.
  • Record of research accomplishments.
  • A demonstrated potential or existing record of scholarly publications related to Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Analytics or Data Analytics.
