Daniel B. Stephens & Associates (DBS&A) is seeking a qualified and motivated staff person to join our diverse technical team. DBS&A is a water resources, engineering, and environmental consulting firm providing comprehensive services in groundwater and surface water hydrology, soil and environmental science, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, and natural resource investigations. You will work with a team of highly talented individuals on a variety of small to large natural resource and environmental projects, including biological surveys and monitoring, NEPA and Endangered Species Act (ESA) documentation and compliance, and wetland delineations. Typical tasks for a mid-level biologist may include:
Conducting field investigations to document the local flora and fauna and assess the potential for special-status species occurrence.
Conduct bird nest surveys for compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA)
Delineating Ordinary High-Water Marks and participating in wetland delineations.
Analyzing data and preparing technical reports (Biological Evaluations and Assessments, Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, monitoring reports, wetland delineation reports).
Working on project teams with professionals who are motivated to provide high quality services to our clients.
Position level and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.This position may require some travel, including possible evenings and weekends, and fieldwork in adverse weather conditions.
