Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office to support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in New Mexico and elsewhere while growing your career. The role will include supporting field efforts and office tasks on a variety of environmental investigation, characterization, remediation and monitoring projects for commercial, state and federal clients.
Responsibilities
• Conduct field sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas and other environmental media.
• Provide oversight of subcontractors including drillers
• Support remediation projects including contaminated soil and hazardous waste sites.
• Operate/maintain field equipment.
• Follow sampling protocols including chain-of-custody procedures.
• Document field activities through logs, photos, and all types of field data.
• Assist in summarizing field activities, preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation.
• Adhere to and promote safety protocols.
Note: This position will require overnight travel (approximately 40%) and additional same day to project sites.
Required Qualifications
• Experience executing environmental fieldwork.
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related science.
• 2-5 years of experience
• Strong data collection and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF and other standard business computer programs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended rotations.
• Ability to pass background checks to support projects on military installations.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

• GIT or EIT
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-hour HAZWOPER supervisor
• First Aid/CPR certifications
• Mechanical aptitude
