Overview

In addition to managing a wide variety of events at the complex, this position also serves as a multi-faceted Event Manager for producing all levels and types of events, including in-house, amphitheater, and swim meets. Prepares event outlines and scaled drawings of event areas. Coordinates equipment and personnel service distribution and other functions and duties as required by the event. Serves as lead on-site contact with the event promoter from planning the event, move-in of the event to the facility, the actual event, and move-out of the event. As Manager of the event, supervises facility operations, including outside contractors and facility employees. Prepares and compiles and communicates lessee event expense information for use by the business department in financial settlement of the event.ย 

This role will pay an annual salary of $60,000 - $65,000

This position will remain open until December 4, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as primary on-site contact with every promoter for events ranging in gross revenue to potentially more than $1M. ย 
  • Position is primary on-site contact for planning of the event, move-in of the event into the facility, the actual event, and move-out of the event, requiring that this manager frequently adapt all internal and external resources to often-changing scenarios. ย 
  • Manages facility operations, including outside contractors and facility employees, during the event. ย 
  • Determines staffing requirements and reacts to changes brought on by security concerns, fluctuations in attendance, weather, and cancellations/late arrivals. ย 
  • Assumes a high level of financial/budgetary responsibility andย acts quickly to make sound financial and practical/operational decisions regarding changes throughout the planning process and on the date of the event.ย 
  • Serves as facility representative for all events. ย 
  • Develops detailed operational and financial plans and diagrams for the Published Event Document and distributes them to facility personnel for implementation of contractual obligations and conditions before the event. ย 
  • Oversees division staffing throughout the event and coordinates with resources to meet the fluctuating needs of tenants,ย performers, and promoters. ย 
  • Coordinates with in-house and third-party security and food vendors to assure optimal patron satisfaction. ย 
  • Manages & coordinates event preparation with event prep supervisors, crew, and other managers.ย 
  • Assists tenants in arranging for supportive services and represents facility management in resolving problems encountered by tenants and technical staff.ย 
  • Monitors assigned event requirements as interfaced with other events and activities scheduled throughout the Complex. ย 
  • Exhibits working knowledge of all related events and departmental procedures to facilitate proper coordination of activities.ย 
  • Prepare and correlate lessee expense information to support the finance department in financial pre-settlement and final settlement activity.ย 
  • Exercise resource stewardship and report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance with policies/procedures.ย 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. ย 
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in events operations, banquet management, hospitality, or high-volume restaurant operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience executing large-scale events with multiple moving parts and high service expectations.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to confidently direct teams in live-event environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and operational planning skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, solution-oriented, and detail-focused under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of convention center and banquet service flow, staffing models, and event logistics.
  • Experience managing labor and operational efficiencies in high-volume environments.
  • Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and creating memorable moments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with divisions within the facility, contracted vendors/services and clientele including high-profile touring promotion agenciesย 
  • Ability to maintain an excellent public image for the facility.
  • Maintains knowledge of current concert tours, conventions, and trade shows, including concert production trends.
