Teamwork with dispatchers and courteous interactions with customers are key components of the daily workflow for online drivers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an online driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Online Driver, you generally need a valid driver's license, good driving record, and familiarity with local routes. CDL-A Trainee Driver - Paid Mentorship Program

Duplessis, LA

$1.3K - $1.5K/wk

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Posted 6 days ago

Job description

Just graduated CDL school in the Greater Baton Rouge area and having trouble getting hired? We will put you in a truck.

We are currently hiring CDL-A trainees directly out of Duplessis, Ascension Parish, and the surrounding I-10 corridor. Most carriers demand 1–2 years of experience before they even look at your application. We take a different approach: if you completed your training and hold a valid CDL-A, our Paid Mentor Program will bridge the gap between school and a confident solo career.

No fine print, no unpaid waiting periods, and no physical freight loading.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM

  • 4 to 6 Weeks Paid Mentorship: Learn real-world OTR driving with an experienced mentor in the passenger seat.
  • Guaranteed Pay: You get paid every single week during training—no low mileage penalties or surprise deductions.
  • Instant Progression: Transition directly to full solo pay rates the moment you complete the program.
  • $300 Paid Orientation: We provide your hotel room and cover transportation to get you started.

PAY & FULL BENEFITS

  • $1,300 to $1,550 average weekly earnings once going solo (top performers clear $1,800+).
  • Benefits active after 30 days: Full Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage.
  • 401(k) with Company Match + Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • PTO: Paid time off starts accruing on your very first day.
  • Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance.

EQUIPMENT & FREIGHT

  • Assigned Equipment: 2022 or newer Kenworth or Freightliner (automatic, equipped with APU).
  • No Slip-Seating: Once assigned, the truck is yours—you don't move your gear every week.
  • 100% No-Touch Freight: Dry van loads, approximately 70% drop-and-hook.
  • 2,200 to 2,800 miles per week average across East of I-35 lanes.

SCHEDULE

  • 12 Days Out / 2 Days Home: True OTR setup out of the Duplessis area. Stable, predictable home time rotations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
  • Graduated from an accredited CDL school (120+ hours) OR have under 6 months of recent OTR experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Stop applying to carriers that require years of experience you don't have yet. Apply today—our recruiting team responds within 24 business hours.
