SierTeK Ltd. is seeking an Instructor to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB.

Position Overview Section

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Instructor to support the Office of the Dean in delivering high-quality education and training programs. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with course directors, instructors, and leadership personnel to provide instructional support, curriculum assistance, faculty development, and student mentorship within a professional military education environment.

This role requires strong instructional expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to support both in-person and online learning environments while maintaining compliance with institutional and accrediting standards.

Essential Job Functions

Instructional Support & Course Delivery

  • Work collaboratively with course directors, instructors, and Office of the Dean personnel to provide instructional support across multiple courses.
  • Deliver course material in accordance with established instructional requirements and applicable policies.
  • Support and maintain course material delivery requirements in online learning environments.
  • Develop, design, and deliver professional development training as directed by government representatives.
  • Participate in instructional development processes, including precepting or assisting instructors as required.
  • Maintain current subject matter expertise related to assigned course materials.
  • Serve as Course Director when assigned and perform associated duties in accordance with local guidance and policy.

Faculty Development & Student Support

  • Provide professional development and educational training support for USAFSAM instructors.
  • Mentor and coach students during classroom instruction and assist with academic support initiatives, including the Academic Excellence Program.
  • Conduct faculty evaluations and assist with student and instructor testing activities.
  • Advise course directors and assist in resolving student concerns and administrative issues.
  • Support End of Course (EOC) survey reviews and course improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with attendance tracking, class rosters, and course graduation activities.
  • Support the Faculty Development program by reviewing, updating, and maintaining instructor qualifications.

Curriculum & Program Support

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of student resource materials.
  • Support curriculum development and course updates in coordination with curriculum managers.
  • Collaborate with instructors and support staff on daily operational tasks, including classroom setup and equipment testing.
  • Participate in special projects, continuity documentation, symposiums, and collaborative educational initiatives with partner organizations and institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, accrediting, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions as directed by leadership.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and strong organizational skills.
  • Effectively manage complex projects and interact professionally with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Perform additional education and training mission-related duties as assigned by government representatives.

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience and/or experience supporting a formal education program.
  • Experience as a qualified DoD instructor or the ability to attain instructor qualification, including completion of the Basic Instructor Course and formal internship requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including:

  • Ability to maintain a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

  • Experience in Air Force Medical Service leadership at the flight level or above and/or relevant clinical experience.
  • Current or previous qualification as a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) instructor.
  • Master Instructor certification and/or 250+ teaching hours.
  • Knowledge of Air Force, military, and professional instructional standards and procedures.
