JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr. Director of EHSS, this role serves as the central point of contact for site EHSS managers and is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and directing EHSS programs to ensure regulatory compliance, health and safety and resource direction across all regional sites. This position will also support visits from regulatory authorities, review EHSS projects, plans, specifications, and purchases to verify corporate EHSS requirements are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, creates, reviews, and updates corporate and site policies and procedures, striving to achieve resource reduction, environmental compliance and meeting health & safety guidelines.
  • Collaborates with site EHSS teams to provide strategic guidance on environmental and safety goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promotes a strong culture of environmental compliance with applicable corporate policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures that sites are managing the use of the EHSS online data system driving data completion and integrity.
  • Issues environmental, health, safety, and security related bulletins and alerts. Drives global alert corrective actions to completion.
  • Oversees completion and accuracy of required environmental recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Sets and revises standards and controls for resource consumption within site operations and establishes written guidelines and implements practices for resource reuse and reduction.
  • Works with the Sr. Director of EHSS to analyze trends in performance and creates improvements plans for each site's weaknesses.
  • Performs site inspections and audits and reviews investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions will eliminate recurrence of environmental incidents.
  • Leads or participates in site incident investigations; provides professional support and inputs by partnering with site GM, EHSS, Facilities and other departments.
  • Provides assistance, oversight and audit support of the Environmental Management System to ensure site continuous improvement and retention of ISO 14001 certification.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) in an environmental management role.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing, mentoring, and leading professional teams, projects, and meetings.
  • 3-5 years of environmental regulatory reporting and agency interfacing.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in analyzing manufacturing processes, evaluating production machinery, and resource reduction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local OSHA laws and regulations, worker's compensation, public health, and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of behavioral-based safety practices.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong sense of urgency.
  • Superior presentation skills and well versed in effective training methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills including: MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making, team-building, and collaboration skills.
  • Highly continuous improvement- and results-focused.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast- paced and rapidly changing work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
