Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to help keep our production operation running at a high level in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a true multi-craft role—to be successful, you must be confident working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines, with strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to work problems from symptoms to root cause.

In this role, you’ll respond to real-time breakdowns, perform critical repairs, and drive preventive work that protects uptime. You’ll also have meaningful ownership in a company that invests in its people, offering the chance to grow your skill set, expand your technical range, and help strengthen maintenance capabilities as the operation continues to scale and bring new equipment online. This is a polymer manufacturing environment, but we value strong industrial maintenance fundamentals and train the right people.

One major differentiator: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, a direct reflection of how seriously this company supports and retains its team.

Shifts

  • 2nd or 3rd shifts are available
  • 2nd: 3pm - 11pm
  • 3rd: 11pm - 7am

Benefits

  • $27.50 - 32.50 / hr
  • Base: $26 - $31 / hr
  • Shift Differential: $1.50 / hr
  • 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off, holidays, and personal leave

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Under Pressure – Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues quickly and safely; approach each problem with a structured mindset to restore equipment and prevent repeat failures.
  • Mechanical Maintenance & Repair – Repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment such as gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, grinders, extruders, material handling systems, and other industrial machinery (specific plastics equipment is a plus, not a requirement).
  • Electrical Maintenance & Diagnostics – Troubleshoot low-voltage controls, sensors, motors, starters, relays, and panels; support basic high/low voltage troubleshooting (no emphasis on true high-voltage power work).
  • PLC Troubleshooting & Edits – Perform hands-on PLC support including comprehensive troubleshooting and making practical edits/adjustments as needed; PLC programming from scratch is not required.
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems – Maintain and repair pumps, cylinders, valves, actuators, regulators, and other high-use hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Execute scheduled PMs (lubrication, inspections, belt/chain tracking, wear component replacement) and proactively flag developing issues before they become downtime events.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify recurring issues, support upgrades and reliability improvements, and help implement changes that improve uptime, safety, and maintainability.
  • Documentation & Shift Handoff – Log work performed, downtime causes, and parts usage in CMMS/maintenance logs; communicate clearly during shift handoffs to keep work moving.

Required

  • Experience – 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • True Multi-Craft Capability – Demonstrated ability to work both sides of the house: mechanical + electrical.
  • Troubleshooting Mindset – Strong diagnostic approach; ability to walk into unfamiliar problems, isolate the issue, and execute a safe, effective fix.
  • Mechanical Skills – Equipment teardown/rebuilds, alignment fundamentals, bearings/seals, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics – Confident troubleshooting and repair of pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, and air systems.
  • Electrical Skills – Low-voltage controls, sensors, motors, starters, panels, and safe troubleshooting practices (experience around 480V is a plus).
  • PLCs & Controls – Ability to troubleshoot PLC-driven equipment and make practical edits; programming is not required

Preferred

  • Training/Certifications – TCAT or other technical training/certifications preferred, not required.
  • Manufacturing & Industry - Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Tenure - Strong tenure across work history and proven reliability are valued.

Environmental

  • Physical Requirements – Comfortable with heights, confined spaces, and typical plant conditions (heat, dust, noise).
