This full-time, remote position allows you to set your own schedule while providing support and treatment to individuals seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol. With a focus on evidence-based practices and community integration, you will play a vital role in facilitating meaningful recovery journeys for our clients.

About the Organization

Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC is an innovative online platform dedicated to transforming how individuals engage with their alcohol consumption. We connect our members to an anonymous recovery community, therapist-led support groups, and a comprehensive library of resources tailored to their needs. Through personalized treatment plans devised in collaboration with licensed physicians and specialized therapists, we empower individuals to pursue healthier lifestyles that align with their personal goals. Our mission, rooted in the owner’s personal recovery journey, emphasizes accessible, affordable, and high-quality mental health care.

Work Environment

Our remote work setting means you can operate from the comfort of your own home or any location that inspires you. You will have the autonomy to set your own hours without the pressures of a minimum requirement, allowing for optimal work-life balance. Our supportive community encourages open communication and collaboration among team members, with continuous access to a best-in-class Clinical Operations Team dedicated to your success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized counseling sessions with clients, empowering them to explore their relationship with alcohol and develop personalized treatment strategies.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to foster client engagement and recovery.
  • Facilitate and potentially lead support groups, inspired by community recovery support options like AA, Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management, to enhance patient engagement.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care while promoting a harm-reduction approach that respects each client's choices regarding moderation vs. abstinence.
  • Collaborate with our Content Manager to create insightful resources that support and educate our clients, enhancing their recovery experience.
  • Minimize administrative burdens as our support team handles scheduling, billing, and client referrals, allowing you to focus primarily on providing care.
  • Engage in professional development and networking opportunities, including monthly peer groups and CEU credits (covered by the organization).
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals seeking to improve or change their drinking habits, who are often navigating complex emotional landscapes related to addiction. Clients vary in their backgrounds and readiness for change, so your adaptability and understanding of harm-reduction principles will be key in meeting their diverse needs. You will guide clients who may be interested in moderation strategies as well as those ready for complete abstinence, providing tailored support that respects each person's unique journey.

Qualifications
  • Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Proven experience and training in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on creating empathetic and trusting client relationships.
  • Familiarity with community recovery support resources and their relevance to your practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly with clients facing substance use challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in remote counseling or telehealth delivery is a plus, along with familiarity using digital tools for patient engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, supplemented by a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, a retirement plan, and generous paid time off, promoting your overall well-being and work-life balance. Access to continuing education resources ensures you have the tools necessary for ongoing professional growth.
