Associate Instructor - Korean Language Program The Department of World Languages and Cultures (WLC) at the University of Utah invites applications for a part-time Associate Instructor to teach first-year Korean during the Fall 2026 semester. Duties include teaching KOREA 1010-001 on Mon/Wed 9:40am-11:20am and assigning and grading homework, quizzes, and tests. All course material is ready for use, so the instructor does not need to prepare new material. Mentoring is provided. A valid driver's license or passport is required.
This position will begin August 16, 2026.
Qualifications
MA or other professional degree in Korean or Foreign Language Teaching or related area; Korean teaching experience
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be qualified to teach elementary and intermediate levels of Korean language, and will coordinate teaching with other Korean teaching staff in the WLC department. Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Korean is a prerequisite. Fluency in English is expected. Complete applications include a letter of application, a CV, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Letters of recommendation may be requested at a later point in the screening process.
