Job description

Job Summary:
The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) Student Activities Coordinator will provide district-wide coordination and support for student-facing Community School programs and services, ensuring equitable access, high-quality experiences, and alignment with District goals. Coordinate volunteer engagement to enhance enrichment offerings and strengthen schoolcommunity partnerships.

Organizational Relationship:
The Teacher on Special Assignment- Student Activities Coordinator reports directly to the Community Schools Program Director.
 

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Professional Educator License
  • Administrative Endorsement (Principal Endorsement) or working toward administrative licensure, preferred
  • Ability to travel between program sites and work flexible hours (typically 10:30 a.m.6:30 p.m. during the school year; 8:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. in summer)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding the safety and welfare of students
  • Solutions-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children
  • Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically etc.) student population
  • Fluency in a second language, preferred
