Job Description
The Virtual Banker provides exceptional member experience by assisting new and existing members with new account applications, consumer lending, and additional credit union products and services. This role establishes memberships and additional accounts through online applications, verifies documentation, screens applicants, and follows up on loan applications when additional information or documentation is needed. The Virtual Banker serves as a subject matter expert on products, services, new accounts, and consumer lending processes while assisting members through inbound and outbound phone calls, digital channels, and other contacts. This position focuses on complex member needs, cross-selling opportunities, fraud awareness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies.

Responsibilities:
· Process new memberships and additional accounts through online applications, including document verification, security questions, and follow-up for additional information or documentation.
 · Provide high-quality member service through inbound and outbound phone calls, digital channels, and other member contacts while handling complex issues with professionalism.
 · Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services and connect members with financial services, home loan, and financial counseling experts.
 · Apply knowledge of retail banking functions, including teller services, member service, loan origination, and relationship deepening.
 · Recognize potential fraud, loss, and reputation risks while maintaining compliance with OFAC, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
 · Minimum four (4) years of sales, customer service, banking, or other financial services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 · Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other software; ability to learn and operate various computer and office equipment.
 · Strong communication, customer service, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Teller and/or ITM experience and prior contact center experience preferred. Two years of college-level education and bilingual skills preferred.
