Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Physics Adjunct Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position based on semester system. This is for Fall semester 2026 beginning on August 17, 2026 and ending December 14, 2026. Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned. This position is for the Marietta or North Metro Campus. Classes could be offered day or evening.

Prior to hiring, candidates will undergo a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle records review, and employer/professional reference verification. After initial screening, additional documentation may be requested.

NOTE: Adjunct Instructor positions are part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited and there is no expectation that your association with Chatt Tech will extend beyond this term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in physics coursework
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Teaching experience

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary--$2,450 per course per semester. There are no State Benefits.

Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on "hardship" evidence provided by the employee.
