Division of Hematology, Department of Pediatrics
Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, and In Residence Faculty Series
The Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is recruiting faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or equivalent medical degree
  • California medical license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics
  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
  • Demonstrated expertise in the clinical practice and teaching of pediatric hematology

Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in pursuing a career in academic pediatrics
  • Evidence of scholarly activity or academic productivity
  • Commitment to serving the patient populations of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals
  • Background and track record in hemoglobin disorders and gene therapy

For positions that are 51% effort or more:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $114,100-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $81,500-$246,000.
