Job description

St. Thomas University School of Nursing, Miami Gardens, FL is looking for adjunct online Nursing Instructors with experience to join our team. The faculty member is responsible for teaching students in the RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse (AGPC) Practitioner programs and Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) program. All programs are online didactic sessions. The instructor is responsible for facilitating quality instruction in collaboration with the Nursing Team to ensure specific student learning outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications for the RN to BSN Program:

  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years’ nursing clinical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in online instructions/education
  • Current valid Registered Nurse license in Florida
  • Knowledge on the use of CANVAS LMS platform and standard business office software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze student performance and provide effective student feedback.
  • Effective decision making and ability to convey support to the students.

Qualifications for the DNP and MSN Programs:

  • DNP, Ph.D., APRN certification
  • A minimum of 3 years’ nursing clinical experience in the field will be applying.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in online instructions/education
  • Current valid Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
  • Knowledge on the use of CANVAS LMS platform and standard business office software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze student performance and provide effective student feedback.
  • Effective decision making and ability to convey support to the students.
