Position Summary
Prairie State College is seeking an energetic mathematics instructor to expand our pool of face-to-face adjunct faculty at our Chicago Heights campus. Candidates should explore innovative approaches to enhance student learning and provide high quality instruction so that each student may meet course expectations. Successful candidates will be responsible for effectively preparing, teaching, grading, and assessing student learning and collaborating with their coordinator, Dean, and colleagues to improve the student learning experience. Candidates must also be able to utilize a variety of technology-based programs related to student instruction.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or closely related field.
2.. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
3. Commitment to the mission of the community college
4. Ability to support the Prairie State College general education learning outcome areas of Communication, Creative Thinking, Cultural Understanding, Information Literacy, and Problem Solving.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's Degree in Mathematics or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate level mathematics courses
2. Experience teaching developmental and college level math courses.
3. Teaching experience at the collegiate level, ideally at a community college.
4. Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds
5. Credentialed to teach in the online format
