Job description

Description Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Instruction, CTE Programs, this position works in the assigned program under the supervision of full-time faculty and is responsible for improving student learning by following curriculum and course materials, providing hands-on training and assisting with demonstrations. This temporary, part-time position is assigned an hourly schedule semester by semester, based on program needs and course schedules. The position does not work between semesters.

This position may be asked to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends. Typical Duties May instruct scheduled courses as an adjunct faculty, as assigned. Prepare and give classroom presentations, trainings, and student assignments under direction of the full-time faculty.

Assist students in meeting learning objectives by accurately and impartially assessing students' abilities in performing assigned skills and correcting deficiencies. Adhere to class schedules. Meet attendance standards and work additional hours, as needed.

Remain current in practices, trends and research related to areas of specialization or assignment. Maintain confidentiality relating to student matters. Maintain availability for student interaction.

Carry out assigned responsibilities in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes and the college's philosophies, policies, procedures and regulations. Qualifications Applicants must meet education and/or experience minimum qualifications as indicated: Faculty Qualifications.
