This position requires teaching undergraduate nursing in an ACEN accredited Associate of Science (ASN) and online Bachelor of Science Completion Program (RN-BSN). The ASN courses include in classroom and lab lecture, clinical instruction, and lab/simulation instruction. The online RN-BSN Completion program requires nursing instruction through a distance, online format. The position is located and the faculty member works in Havre, MT. We are currently seeking all nursing specialties

General Statement
The Adjunct Instructor of Nursing position is a non-tenure track (NTT), contracted position in the College of Health Sciences at MSU-Northern. This position requires teaching undergraduate nursing in an ACEN accredited Associate of Science (ASN) and online Bachelor of Science Completion Program (RN-BSN). Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement and evaluate courses in an Associate of Science (ASN) program
and an Online RN-BSN Completion program
• Establish and maintain relationships with clinical affiliates
• Provide lecture and lab/clinical instruction in area of specialty
• Provide instruction in Simulation Lab
• Academic advising
• Participate in the ongoing development and evaluation of program
outcomes andeffectiveness
• Serve on college committees and involvement in campus activities
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of student admission,
progression,retention, and graduation policies of the College
• Demonstrate scholarly activity by continued professional development and
activeparticipation in professional organizations
Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from a nationally accredited program, OR
  2. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and willingness to enroll in a
  3. MSN program and able to complete within 5 years.
  4. Current, unencumbered Montana Registered Nursing license or Compact state licensure, OR
  5. Eligibility for RN licensure in Montana.
  6. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
  7. Excellent communication skills along with a high level of initiative, critical thinking andclinical judgement skills.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
• Teaching experience in an ASN or BSN program
• Experience in distance education including web-based course development
and implementation
• Experience with Simulation Lab instruction
• Demonstrate potential to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and
students
• Demonstrate a commitment to supporting the mission of the College
