Job description

NECD is seeking an ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

NECD is known known for our ability to provide high end design and construction finishes for elevators in New York City. Our clients are the leading architects and developers in NYC. Our primary construction work includes elevator cabs, doors, entrances, and fixtures.
Some noteworthy projects include 50 Hudson Yards, The Spiral, One World Trade Observatory, 425 Park, 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

We are seeking a candidate with a degree in Architecture or Engineering to assist our project management team. Working directly with the VP of Design + Project Management, as well as interfacing with our broader company teams- Operations, Engineering, Management, Sales, and Production - the candidate for this position should have the following general qualifications.


Requirements:
โ€ข An Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent professional experience in Architecture or Engineering.
โ€ข Strong communication skills
โ€ข Proficiency reading architectural drawings + specifications.
โ€ข Excellent organization and teamwork skills, with strong attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to assist on architectural design related tasks
โ€ข Excellence in organizational management, planning, and communication skills.
โ€ข Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat.
โ€ข Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, other graphic/design programs would be a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
โ€ข Material Sample Submittals and Library tracking
โ€ข Assist in tracking drawings + submittal packages
โ€ข Learn the basics of Project Management
โ€ข Work closely with VP of Design + Project Management team
โ€ข Some portion of sales/estimating will be part of this position

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 60-70K (commensurate with experience)
