Description

 The 1:1 Aide works one-on-one with an assigned individual. They are responsible for implementing programmatic activities and providing individualized support and assistance to the assigned adult to achieve their goals and provide for their safety. They will collaborate with Trainers and Instructors to ensure that the individual they support is integrated into group programming at the Community Day Services Program.


This role has 2 positions it is looking to fill for 1:1 Aides for individuals participating in programming.


The 1st position is a Part-Time 1:1 Aide for 4 days a week. This role can be adjusted to be either 24 hours per week or 30 hours per week. 

  • If working 30 hours, you would work as a permanent-sub 1 day a week (when the 1:1 supported individual does not attend) and will fill vacancies throughout the program with other individuals needing 1:1 support or as a trainer in the activities or production areas. 

The second position is a Part-Time 1:1 Aide for 5 days and 30 hours per week.


Salary: $20.55/hour

Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required. Some college is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to complete 120-hour DSP Training (or previously DSP trained)
  • Candidates must be comfortable with the following: Supporting Individuals who use a walker to ambulate, and needs some minor assistance to navigate; Individuals requiring assistance in restroom; and those who may need assistance during lunch. 
  • Experience with DD population preferred
  • Must possess a valid IL driver's license and, If driving, a good driving record (no more than 2 violations in 5 years)

**If combining position with a Sub Van Driver or Van Driver position, candidate must meet and maintain PACE certification requirements. Candidates combining this role with the Van Driver position must also have and maintain a good driving record (No more than 2 accidents/violations in the last 5 years), complete a biennial Defensive Driver training and MVR (Motor Vehicle Report). Â
