Job description

AI Workflow & Design Engineer, Marketing | Full-Time | On-Site (Provo, UT)
About Atonom
At Atonom.ai, we are defining the Autonomous Era by building the world's first true "Cloud Employees," intelligent AI agents capable of executing complex work across Sales, Marketing, Support, and HR. We believe growth should be limited only by ambition, not headcount. Join us as we build the infrastructure for the next generation of work.
Role
This is not a traditional marketing role, and it is not purely a design role either. We are looking for someone who can both make things look right and build the systems that produce them at scale.
As an AI Workflow & Design Engineer on the Marketing team, you will use design skill and AI tooling to build and optimize our marketing channels: email, social, video, and newsletters. You will design the assets and engineer the workflows that produce them, turning campaigns that used to take a team a week into systems that run in a day. If you are excited by the idea of where craft meets automation, at a company in the business of autonomous
intelligence, this role was designed for you.
What You'll Do
  • Channel Building: Build and maintain marketing across email, social, video, and newsletters, including both the creative and the systems behind it.
  • AI-Augmented Production: Use and improve AI tooling (primarily Claude) to draft copy, generate variations, repurpose content across channels, and automate the repetitive parts of production.
  • Design: Produce on-brand visual assets and templates that hold up across every channel and scale without losing quality.
  • Workflow Automation: Design the pipelines that take an idea from brief to published, across formats, with as little manual handoff as possible.
  • Optimization: Track channel performance, run tests, and use what you learn to improve both the creative and the workflow that produces it.
  • Process Improvement: Document how content gets made today and rebuild it to be faster, with a bias toward automation and measurable results.

Who You Are
  • Educated in systems: You hold a bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field. You have up to 2 years of experience or relevant internships.
  • Demonstrably design-capable: You have an eye for layout, type, and brand, and you can show it. A portfolio or work samples are required so we can see the quality of what you produce.
  • AI-forward: You already use AI tools in your creative and production workflow. You know how to prompt effectively, think critically about AI outputs, and identify where automation can replace manual work.
  • Multi-channel: You understand how email, social, video, and newsletters each work, and how content moves between them.
  • A builder: You are comfortable connecting tools, automating handoffs, and wiring together the systems that produce content at scale.
  • Systems thinker: You do not just complete tasks. You notice inefficiencies and ask how the whole process could work better.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable: You check your work, ask clarifying questions, and care about getting it right, in both the craft and the system.

Your First 90 Days
  • Month 1: Learn the business, the brand, and the current marketing channels and workflows. Begin identifying where design and AI can add leverage.
  • Month 2: Take ownership of one channel. Ship your first AI-assisted production workflow and a set of on-brand templates into regular use.
  • Month 3: Deliver a measurable improvement to a channel, such as faster production, higher engagement, or greater output, and start building the next.

Technical Skills
  • Design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • AI tools, primarily Claude (drafting, generation, automation)
  • Marketing and automation platforms (email, social, content workflows)
  • Bonus: video editing, light scripting, or experience connecting tools via API
  • Google Suite

Why Join
  • Direct development: You will work closely with the Marketing leadership team, not handed a manual and left alone.
  • Broad exposure: Every channel from day one, not a single narrow function.
  • Real responsibility: Strong performance creates a clear path toward a senior role as the company scales.
  • Front-row seat to AI: You will build with the tools we make, not just read about them.

Benefits
  • Start building your PTO hours on Day 1.
  • Access to a competitive health benefits package.
  • Paid holidays and company events.
  • Competitive salary
