Job Description:
The Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor for Infusion and Oncology Services provides operational and clinical leadership for a high-acuity oncology and infusion pharmacy service line supporting cancer centers, ambulatory infusion clinics, and inpatient oncology care across the enterprise. The Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor partners with physicians, nurses, and health system leaders to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient outcomes across a growing specialty service line.
The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and operational functions of decentralized pharmacy services, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in medication therapy. This role involves supervising a team of pharmacists and technicians, coordinating with team leads, site managers, administrators, and other healthcare personnel to enhance patient outcomes through strategic clinical initiatives and optimized medication use. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining policies and procedures focused on clinical practices and medication protocols, conducting performance reviews, and participating in departmental planning and goal setting. This individual will lead cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong project management skills and the ability to communicate complex clinical concepts to diverse audiences. As an integral leader in both educational and operational settings, the Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will exemplify the CoxHealth mission, vision, and values, acting with empathy, flexibility, maturity, independence, and initiative. This role is pivotal in optimizing pharmacy operations, serving as a primary resource for learners, preceptors, and administrative staff, and ensuring the alignment of educational initiatives with organizational goals and accrediting standards. This role may involve occupational exposure to hazardous drugs. Training and education will be provided on any specific procedures, risks and safety protocols associated to the handling of these drugs.
Education:
• Required: Bachelor's of Pharmacy required
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy; Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency
Experience:
• Required: 1-2 Years Related Experience
• Preferred: 1-2 Years Managerial/Supervisory experience

• Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
