Gynecologic Oncologist – Assistant or Associate Professor

Department: Gynecology, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Full time, 40 hours per week.

Overview

The Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is a research‑intensive program with a high-volume clinical portfolio, a robust clinical trials infrastructure, and a strong focus on translational science.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide comprehensive surgical and oncologic care for all gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and rare cancers.
  • Perform advanced open, minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
  • Develop and maintain an active clinical practice within the department.
  • Enroll and manage patients on clinical trials and cooperative group studies.
  • Lead or contribute to clinical, translational, population‑based, or health services research.
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents and students in the ACGME‑accredited three‑year Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program.
  • Contribute to the academic, clinical and strategic growth of the department.

What You’ll BringRequired Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and Gynecologic Oncology fellowship.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic accomplishments appropriate for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
  • Interest or experience in clinical trials, translational research, population science, surgical innovation, cancer disparities, survivorship or related areas.
  • Evidence of scholarly activity, including publications, presentations, grant development or other academic contributions.
  • Commitment to trainee mentorship, multidisciplinary care and collaborative academic practice.
Licensing and Certification
  • License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Gynecologic Oncology.
