Position Purpose

To drive all aspects of daily store operations, including buying, selling, pricing, and merchandising gently used children's clothing, gear, and toys. This role promotes a high level of customer service by ensuring guests are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner. Sales Associates assist store management in maintaining a vibrant retail environment while executing the unique buy-and-sell business model of Once Upon a Child. Bilingual highly preferred (English & Spanish)

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers immediately upon entry, establish rapport, and determine their specific needs. Execute standard sales protocols to maximize transactions, proactively recommending complementary items, features, and benefits to increase average basket size and ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Buying Operations: Learn and apply brand buying guidelines to evaluate, price, and purchase gently used items brought in by the public. Confidently explain the buying process to customers, reinforce their sales to the store, and build brand loyalty by inviting them to return to buy, sell, or trade.
