Job description

Mud Bay’s Store Staff Members are the heart of Mud Bay. They are flexible, friendly, and focused on providing everyone who walks through our doors an outstanding experience.

Competitive base pay: The target starting pay for this position will be at the entry point of the range, at $21.32. 

The pay range of $21.32 to $24.52 per hour allows our employees room for growth through annual increases and promotion potential. 

When you'd work: This is a part-time position, with a Good Faith Estimate of 15 hours per week (60 hours per month). Availability is needed Thursday/Friday/Saturday for primarily closing shifts. This position will typically work 3 days a week. Shifts will vary, but can typically look like: Thursday 1:00a-7:45p, Friday 3:45p-7:45p, and Saturday 3:15p-7:15p.  Candidate needs to be able to help at neighboring locations such as Greenway (Tigard), Garden Home, Timberland and Tanasbourne, and attend a once a month store meeting, typically on a Thursday evening.

  • Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing registers
  • Makes decisions based on good judgment and Mud Bay's Mission and Values
  • Enjoys learning and wants to learn continuously about dogs, cats, and small animals
  • Contributes to a team that celebrates differences and works together in a fun environment
  • Maintains cleanliness, organization and attractiveness of store's sales and support area
  • Maintains inventory, including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing
