Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The Sr. HRIS Analyst works closely with other members of the HRIS team to support Workday and other Human Resource systems.
The ideal candidate brings HRIS expertise, advanced Workday configuration skills, and experience working on cross-functional projects with a preference for expertise in Workday payroll to a collaborative and knowledgeable team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, gather requirements, test, and deploy configurations for multiple modules within Workday including Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Security, and Time and Absence.
  • Translate business requirements into solutions and recommend design improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Design, build, and maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, custom validations, and notifications/alerts.
  • Ability to define and understand functional and data requirements for integrations, while collaborating closely with the integration developer.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, troubleshooting root causes, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain system integrity and data accuracy through audits, testing, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards.
  • Configure and manage Workday security groups and roles.
  • Manage biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and configuration updates.
  • Provide functional support for Workday end-users through training, troubleshooting, and responding to general HRIS systems questions.
  • Lead or assist in the end-to-end project management of HR projects, including defining project vision, identifying/managing resources, scheduling meetings, creating test scripts, and documenting a project plan with key milestones and tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience with at least 3+ years of Workday HCM/payroll configuration.
  • Hands-on experience configuring in multiple Workday modules, including Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Security, and/or Compensation.
  • Advanced skills creating/loading EIBs and building Workday reports/dashboards using Advanced, Matrix and Composite report types.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: UKG, iCIMS, OnBase.
  • Knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and payroll processes.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $104,458 to $165,090, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
