Job description


Module Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and uptime of equipment used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This position supports multiple fab areas-including Ion Implant, Thin Films, Etch, etc-and requires strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Shift Information
  • Day shift 1 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
  • Day Shift 2 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 6:30 AM -7:00 PM
  • Night Shift 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + every other Saturday, 6:30 PM -7:00 AM Shift Differential: 15%
  • Night Shift 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday + every other Saturday 6:60PM - 7:00 AM Shift Differential: 15%

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Sign-On Bonus: Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign-on award in the gross amount of $5,000.00, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250.00 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), including cleaning, calibration, and parts replacement
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance in tracking systems and logs
  • Assist with installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help implement best practices across departments
  • Follow strict safety protocols while working with hazardous materials, chemicals, and high-voltage systems
  • Support equipment uptime by ensuring kits are properly prepared, inspected, and staged for quick turnaround
  • Perform kit changes and component swaps on Thin Films metals equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field preferred Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Willingness to work night shifts and adjust schedules for training or business needs
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, vacuum technology, and plasma physics. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Exposure to semiconductor fabrication processes (Implant, Etch, Thin Films, etc.)
  • Experience with vacuum systems, RF systems, or robotics
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, electronics troubleshooting, or mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with Furnace semiconductor process modules and equipment (e.g., Asm, Tel)
  • Employees in the role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $23.51-$41.06 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
