Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Scrap Metal Associate to join our team. This position works primarily outdoors and is responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and processing various types of scrap metal materials. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, physically fit, and capable of working in varying weather conditions while maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload scrap metal materials.
  • Sort and separate metals according to company procedures
  • Inspect incoming materials
  • Assist with weighing, grading, and organizing scrap metal inventory.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist customers with unloading materials and provide professional customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding yard operations.
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned, including housekeeping and site maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a scrap yard, recycling facility, warehouse, construction, or general labor environment is preferred but not required.
