Job description

About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Reliability Vibration Technician to support a leading life sciences client in Rahway, NJ.

This highly technical position focuses on vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and rotating equipment reliability. The successful candidate will analyze equipment condition, diagnose failure modes, recommend corrective actions, and help strengthen predictive maintenance programs.

You will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve equipment uptime, reduce unplanned failures and lifecycle costs, and support long-term reliability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vibration analysis on rotating equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and gearboxes.
  • Collect, interpret, and trend vibration data using FFT, waveform, phase, and resonance analysis.
  • Diagnose bearing failures, imbalance, misalignment, looseness, resonance, and other mechanical or electrical-related conditions.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on condition-monitoring results.
  • Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and failure-elimination initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and improve Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and condition-based monitoring programs.
  • Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies and asset reliability improvements.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations on equipment issues, upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Use vibration software, predictive maintenance tools, and CMMS systems to document findings and track corrective actions.
  • Identify recurring failure patterns and develop proactive maintenance recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, technical reports, and reliability documentation.
  • Mentor junior technicians or analysts and promote vibration-analysis best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, uptime, and lifecycle cost reduction.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of predictive maintenance experience, preferably supporting predictive maintenance programs across multiple facilities or sites.
  • Strong hands-on machine vibration analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret vibration data, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experience leading or owning predictive maintenance programs and establishing best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, condition monitoring, and equipment failure diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with vibration analysis techniques, including FFT, waveform, phase, and resonance.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance software, vibration analysis tools, and CMMS platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly documented or regulated environment.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Vibration analysis certification or comparable demonstrated vibration-analysis experience is valued.
  • Category II Vibration Analyst certification or another relevant vibration credential is preferred.
  • Category III or IV certification is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong hands-on vibration and predictive maintenance experience may offset the absence of a higher-level certification.

Local candidates are preferred. Candidates willing to relocate at their own expense may also be considered.
